Twist-Lok™ Access Covers and Retrofit Kits
PCI Twist-Lok Access Covers provide a watertight seal with a simple twist. Standard on PCI tank sumps, they are also available as retrofit kits to repair leaking covers or raise the access opening on existing polyethylene and fiberglass sumps.
The retrofit kit installs through a 36-inch opening without breaking concrete, providing a permanent repair while preserving the surrounding surface.
Repair Without Breaking Concrete
Install the retrofit kit through the existing manhole opening to replace a leaking sump cover or raise the sump access point.
A minimum 36-inch clear opening and an existing 38-inch or larger manhole are required. Complete the pre-installation survey to verify fit and clearance.
12-Point Locking System
Twelve points of contact secure the cover against the sealing surface, creating a dependable watertight connection.
Hard Stop for Consistent Closure
The built-in hard stop prevents overtightening and provides a clear stopping point when locking the cover.
Tool-Free Cover Access
The Twist-Lok cover can be removed and reinstalled without tools, simplifying inspection and service after the retrofit is complete.
Raised Sealing Surface
The raised, rounded sealing surface helps keep dirt and debris from interfering with the seal between the cover and collar.
Fiberglass Cover Construction
Injection-molded fiberglass provides a durable cover for long-term service in containment applications.
Polyethylene and Fiberglass Sump Options
Kits are available with bonding materials matched to the existing sump:
- Polyethylene sumps: Clear Magic adhesive.
- Fiberglass sumps: Epoxy, fiberglass seam kit, or fiberglass adhesive options.
- Universal fiberglass kit: Epoxy bonding kit and a fiberglass adapter plate that can be customized in the field.
Additional configurations are available with or without bonding kits and adapter plates.
Optional Inspection Port
An optional 4-inch inspection port allows quick inspection without removing the entire cover.

Pre-Installation Survey Required
Complete a Twist-Lok Retrofit Kit Pre-Installation Survey for every order. The survey records the existing opening dimensions and clearances so PCI can confirm the appropriate kit.

Clear Magic, PCI’s proprietary three-part adhesive, can be used with any of our fiberglass fittings to permanently bond fiberglass to polyethylene.
