Double Wall Fiberglass Tank Sumps

PCI Double Wall Tank Sumps provide secondary containment around underground storage tank piping connections, fittings, valves, and submersible turbine pumps (STPs), with access for installation, inspection, and service.

Built from 100% corrosion-resistant fiberglass, these sumps feature an interstitial space between the inner and outer walls for monitoring containment integrity. Multiple sizes and monitoring configurations support different site requirements.

Interstitial Monitoring

PCI Double Wall Tank Sumps support periodic or continuous interstitial monitoring. The space between the walls allows monitoring for conditions that could indicate a loss of containment integrity.

Monitoring and Testing Options

Available configurations support:

Dry interstitial monitoring
Vacuum monitoring
Fluid-filled interstitial monitoring

Factory Tested and Shipped Under Vacuum

Each double wall tank sump is pre-tested and shipped under vacuum with a vacuum gauge installed, allowing verification of the sealed interstitial space upon receipt.

VPH Compliant Design

PCI Double Wall Tank Sumps are VPH compliant, supporting applications that require vacuum, pressure, or hydrostatic testing of the interstitial space.

Duo-Molded Fiberglass Construction

PCI’s Duo-Molded Technology combines two layers of fiberglass with high glass content for strength and fuel resistance.

Base and Riser Options

Available in 42-inch and 48-inch configurations, with tank-installed double wall bases and multiple riser heights. Wet and dry interstitial options and bonding kits are available to suit installation requirements.

Brite-White Interior

PCI’s Brite-White interior reflects light for better visibility and helps identify leak points during inspection and service.

Twist-Lok™ Access Cover

The standard fiberglass Twist-Lok Access Cover provides a watertight seal with a quick 12-degree turn.
